What is Career Technical Education (CTE) Articulation?
Articulation is a formalized process linking two educational institutions together. CTE Articulation is a formalized process for CTE courses facilitating a smooth transition for high school students to move from a high school/ROP CTE course, program, or educational level to the next without duplicating classes. A CTE Course to Course Articulation Agreement authorizes an articulated high school course as comparable to the college CTE course, meaning college faculty in the discipline, have determined the high school course to be comparable to a specific community college course.
Students can earn college credit for successfully completing a high school articulated course minimize course repetition, saving money, time, and effort. Notations of college course credit shall be made only if college courses are successfully completed or if credit is earned via credit by examination. (Citrus College Board Policy 4050.)
