About High School CTE Articulation
CTE programs prepare students for professional-level employment or postsecondary education in a timely and efficient way.
High School instructors identify Citrus College CTE courses where content and objectives align. An articulated course has gone through a formal articulation agreement process where both the high school instructor and college faculty agree that the high school course content meets the objectives and rigor of the community college course.
The student is given credit for the class after successful completion of the articulated course through Credit by Exam and/or Portfolio whichever is stated on the articulation agreement. High School CTE Articulation is designed to help students make a smooth transition from high school to college or career training without duplicating classes. Students can earn college credit by completing an articulated course, thereby saving money, time, and effort, and most importantly gaining advanced learning in their program of choice.
